Vermont Peace Academy

The Vermont Peace Academy (VPA) nourishes the spirit of peace and prepares people with the skills, knowledge and attitude necessary to be responsible peacemakers. We encourage the teaching, learning and practice of respect and responsibility, as a vehicle for both individual and cultural transformation. VPA is an inclusive, diverse learning community dedicated to the advancement of personal, interpersonal, and global peace.

VPA is a non-profit organization that promotes the teaching, learning and practice of peace. Established in 2003, Vermont Peace Academy contributes to the global movement of creating a culture of peace through an array of programs, including conferences and workshops, education programs in primary and secondary schools, and professional trainings. The curriculum of Vermont Peace Academy is specialized in Nonviolent Communication, Diversity, Cross-culture Understanding, and Leadership.
